During this unprecedented time, we encourage all to follow Government guidelines and to stay at home. The mPower staff who are clinically trained have been diverted to work in support of the front-line services during this pandemic. The rest of our teams are working from home to keep both themselves and the public they serve healthy. Our support continues, mostly via telephone and digital communication and we encourage all who need support to get in touch with your local mPower contact. Contact details can be found here. As a project we support those who are most vulnerable to the virus, and therefore want to do all we can to help and support in any way we can.
Stay safe, stay home and stay healthy and we’ll try to help you stay connected.
Last week the mPower team in Dumfries and Galloway hosted over 80 guests at a truly informative two-day event. The team welcomed Primary Care teams to listen to key speaker Professor Peter Gore, a leader in the field of how to age well and increase vitality.
Professor Gore introduced the LifeCurve™ and spoke about the role and impact of different interventions in moderating age-related decline, focussing on digital interventions.
Attendees learned how improved health and wellbeing impacts clinical outcomes and participated in practical workshops looking at how best to implement the key learnings. This knowledge allows the health, social care and third sector to focus prevention, re-ablement and equipment services where they are most effective.
The event also gave attendees the opportunity to see a range of health and social care technology solutions which enable people to live well and independently.
