Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

During this unprecedented time, we encourage all to follow Government guidelines and to stay at home. The mPower staff who are clinically trained have been diverted to work in support of the front-line services during this pandemic. The rest of our teams are working from home to keep both themselves and the public they serve healthy. Our support continues, mostly via telephone and digital communication and we encourage all who need support to get in touch with your local mPower contact. Contact details can be found here. As a project we support those who are most vulnerable to the virus, and therefore want to do all we can to help and support in any way we can.

Stay safe, stay home and stay healthy and we’ll try to help you stay connected.

1,000th eHealth intervention for mPower

Posted by Cate Thompson on 7th August 2019

The team have celebrated its 1000th digital health intervention, meaning the project is well on the way to delivering the targets set for the end of 2021. Daphne Nisbet, from Wigtownshire, is one of the 1,000 people who has been helped by the project and is successfully using Florence, a text-based medication reminder system to help her to take her medication as prescribed. Daphne was referred to the project earlier this year and after completing a Wellbeing Plan with her local Community Navigator, she agreed to give Florence a try. After an initial 6-week trial of Florence, Daphne was successfully taking her medication as prescribed. Daphne increased her independence, something which she has expressed is very important to her. Hear from Daphne in her own words here…
