A key part of the project was to deliver shared learning across the partners and jurisdictions.
Over the 5 years we have successfully delivered at least 1,200 shared learning experiences for project staff, health and care professionals and volunteers and staff in the community sector.
The aims of the shared learning workstream were to increase learning and knowledge across the project staff and the wider staff teams and to establish a community of practice for mPower which encourages learning and collaboration across sectors & sites.
There have been several highlights of the shared learning activity: the Scottish Government NHS Near Me team’s support of HSE’s new video consultation service across Republic of Ireland at the start of the pandemic; the delivery of 14 learning sessions with the Project ECHO network from Northern Ireland, which when evaluated showed some fantastic results and feedback.
The mPower shared learning programme was co-designed by network participants and partners who identified education topics such as ‘impact of social isolation’; ‘frailty – how do we build resilience’ and ‘how to support communities now and post pandemic’.
A key and most recent output of the Shared Learning work package was the Festival in Belfast where hundreds of interested stakeholders met to explore, discuss and learn from the project’s experience. Presentations and recordings of the sessions will be available here soon after the event closes.
We will be adding more content around the shared learning workstream in the coming months, please check this area of the site regularly. All content will be available in July.
