During this unprecedented time, we encourage all to follow Government guidelines and to stay at home. The mPower staff who are clinically trained have been diverted to work in support of the front-line services during this pandemic. The rest of our teams are working from home to keep both themselves and the public they serve healthy. Our support continues, mostly via telephone and digital communication and we encourage all who need support to get in touch with your local mPower contact. Contact details can be found here. As a project we support those who are most vulnerable to the virus, and therefore want to do all we can to help and support in any way we can.
Stay safe, stay home and stay healthy and we’ll try to help you stay connected.
mPower is a five-year project supported by the European Union’s INTERREG VA Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The project is creating a cross-border service for older people (age 65+) living with long-term conditions across the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
The project started in late 2017 and will run until December 2021. mPower works with communities to enable people to take the steps needed to live well, safely and independently in their own homes by self-managing their own health and care in the community.
Community Navigators are employed to work with people referred from health and care services to develop wellbeing plans connecting them to activities in their community as well as connecting them to technology to enhance support for health and wellbeing.
